This is yet another Pink Floyd inspired work (but with more of a Willie Nelson title), darker than most, bleak at best.
Inspired by scenes from the motion picture "Pink Floyd The Wall" and by lyrics from other pieces, this is a stark compilation of graphic imagery that shows the beauty and wistful beckoning of dead ends.
"Now you're lost in a haze of alcohol soft middle age. The pie in the sky turned out to be miles too high. And you hide, hide, hide, Behind brown and mild eyes." (Lyrics by Pink Floyd). I listened to a lot of Pink Floyd music while working on this piece, and I just let interpretations of the music and the lyrics guide my hands.
