"When I pick up the phone there'll be no one home." (Lyrics by Pink Floyd.) This print captures one of the most despairing scenes from the motion picture "Pink Floyd The Wall."
As a young man in high school, I was captivated by the music and lyrics of Pink Floyd. After a series of setbacks in my young and troubled life, that became more of an obsession. I wish I would have saved all the Pink Floyd-related artwork I did in my youth. Some remain, most drawn on 8x11 sheets of paper, etc. Later in life, I did a number of professional pieces that hearkened back to some of that earlier work.
This is a favorite of mine. It's a dark and haunting piece - one that belongs on the wall of every Pink Floyd fan.
