This piece, commissioned by a gentleman from Bothell, Washington, was a lot of fun to do. 

At first, I nearly turned down the work as it's not really the subject matter I enjoy doing any more. But one look at the photo of this car and I knew I was going to do it.

I started my career as an artist drawing diesel trucks. That was my first paid work, right out of high school. The trucks I drew were screen-printed onto t-shirts and sold to Mayflower, Bekins and other major movers. Since then, I haven't drawn a truck or a car in decades. So this was a fun trip back to those early days.

The customer was very pleased.
